Summer Dance Workshop (SDW) 2010

Summer is approaching fast, we are preparing for our 6th year Anniversary of "SDW".

As our yearly "workshop" event is here again for 2 weeks, we would like to introduce this years guest teachers,

Miss Liane Mc Rae and Mr Damien Lee Strik from London.

Ms Liane is originally from Scotland in the UK. She was trained at the Royal Ballet School and graduated from the Dancers course.

Liane is a free lance teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance in London. We would like to welcome her to our team this year.

Also joining us for the second time this year will be Mr Damien Lee Strik, he graduated from the English National Ballet School.

Damien has performed in many countries worldwide including France, Italy, Germany, USA etc.

He has been a professional make-up artist for MAC cosmetics in London. His most recent accomplishment was make-up designer for

Matthew Bourne's current production of 'Dorian Gray'. Damien is very excited to be part of the teaching faculty again this year.

3/F Auditorium of "Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre" (HITEC) , Kowloon Bay. This year for our 6th Anniversary Celebration of SDW,

Uncle Joe will have a new technical team for sound and lighting. Dances shown shall be what the students have experienced within the last 2 weeks!

The Performance shall be held on Sunday , 11th July , 2010 at 7:00 pm.

SDW Curriculum

Ballet, as you know is the basis to all dance types. They will also have Pointe work (W Group), Musical theatre, Jazz, Hip Hop & Singing.

All classes will be held at the following locations - Emma Tse Elite Dance Academy studio/Sheung Wan Civic Centre (10 Jul 2010).

SDW Dates:

The Workshop shall commence on Sat, June 26th to Sun, 11th July 2010. Students are not needed to dance everyday but will be allocated to age & grade slots.

 Other than attending the workshop students are recommended to keep their normal RAD classes so not to miss out on next years syllabus and keep up their technique and secure quality!
